French Toast

Simple to make, tasty interesting and adaptable. The perfect recipe for a healthy breakfast. Feels like a treat – but still gets you those ticks.

 Best before 3pm

Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • Splash of low fat milk
  • 1 tablespoon Splenda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • 3 drops vanilla essence
  • slices of 100% wholegrain bread
  • Olive oil cooking spray

Garnish: Six Strawberries and a small low fat yoghurt.

 

Instructions

  1. beat egg whites and milk.
  2. add Splenda, cinnamon, nutmeg,vanilla.
  3. dip each slice of bread in the mixture for a minute.
  4. light spray of oil in non-stick pan put on medium heat.
  5. cook both sides until light brown

Serve immediately with fresh strawberries and low fat yoghurt.
